Origin: (Asia) Sumatra, Indonesia

Elevation: 3,000-5000ft

Harvest: Oct-Mar

Varietal:  Caturra, Bourbon & Catimor

Process:  Washed coffee that has been sorted through two times leaving the best specialty grade coffees.

Cupping Notes: A pronounced acidity with a full bodied flavor and a sweet chocolate taste. We truly enjoy this coffee with a nice full-city roast profile; even with a dark roast, it maintains a nice sweet taste.

Coffee Notes: A washed Arabica Coffee from the northern region of the Indonesian island of Sumatra. It is named after the Mandheling people of the region. Farmers pick discolored and other defective beans from the sound beans. The very best coffees are hand-sorted twice (double picked).

Grade 1: Specialty Grade Coffee Beans: no primary defects, 0-3 full defects, sorted with a maximum of 5% above and 5% below specified screen size or range of screen size, and exhibiting a distinct attribute in one or more of the following areas: taste, acidity, body, or aroma. Also must be free of cup faults and taints.
